Welcome to Best Friends. By downloading, accessing, or using the Best Friends app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 17 years old to use Best Friends. Your date of birth is collected and verified at signup to confirm you meet this age requirement. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you are at least 17 years old.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information in your profile. You may not impersonate another person or create a misleading profile.

You retain ownership of the content you post (photos, bio, prompts). By posting content, you grant Best Friends a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the app for the purpose of providing the service. You are solely responsible for the content you post.
Best Friends uses AI to analyze your profile and match you with compatible users. Best Friends offers three matching modes: For You (AI personality matching), Search (custom prompt-based search), and Nearby (proximity-based matching). Results vary by mode and are not guaranteed. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated matches and trait analysis are not guaranteed to be perfect. Use your own judgment when connecting with other users.
Best Friends offers optional premium subscriptions with additional features. Premium subscriptions are available as monthly ($7.99/month) or yearly ($49.99/year) plans. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
Best Friends facilitates introductions between users but does not guarantee compatibility, safety, or the conduct of other users. You are responsible for your own interactions and should exercise caution when meeting people online.
When using the Search feature, other users may be notified that someone searched for them. The Nearby feature displays approximate distance (in miles) to other users within a few hundred miles.
Free users receive 3 daily connections and limited daily searches across all matching modes. Premium subscribers receive 50 daily connections and expanded search access. Free users may earn bonus connections by watching rewarded ads (limit 1 per day). These limits reset daily.
Free users may see advertisements from Google AdMob within the app. Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience. By using the free version of the app, you consent to receiving ads.
You may report or block other users who violate these Terms. We reserve the right to investigate reports and take action, including suspending or terminating accounts that violate these Terms.
We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms. Suspended accounts cannot access matching, searching, or connection features. Suspension may be temporary or permanent depending on the severity of the violation.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the app's Profile settings.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Best Friends and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Best Friends, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
If a dispute arises between you and Best Friends, we encourage you to first contact us at gentb.business@gmail.com to seek an informal resolution. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you and Best Friends agree to resolve any claims through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court. Arbitration will be conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). You agree that any arbitration will take place on an individual basis — class arbitrations and class actions are not permitted. You retain the right to bring claims in small claims court if they qualify.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
